The Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship social and economic situation back

The total population in the świętokrzyski region is 1,268,239 of whom 60% are at working  age (31.12.2013).

Employment structure of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship by economics sections clearly defines economic profile of the Voivodeship. The Voivodeship is characterized by a large reserve of workforce in the cities as well as in the country.

THE REGISTERED UNEMPLOYMENT RATE is 15.8% which is lower than last month (16.5%) and last year (16.3%). In Poland, the registered unemployment rate was 13.0% and decreased by 0.5% as compared to last month’s and by 1.0% as compared to last year’s.

It means easier recruitment after making a decision about investments and indicates the necessity of creating jobs in rural areas. Low labour costs are also an advantage (as compared to other Polish regions).
